Steph’s Family | Life to the Fullest {Port Dalhousie Photographer}

This is Steph and her fiance Chris. I’m excited to be photographing their wedding in October! Before the big day, Steph asked me to photograph her family as they all wanted images with a very special person- Grandma. They wanted to capture their family in one of their favorite places… no white wedding dresses, just them being together. The location also spoke to Grandma’s background; having lived on the coast most of her life, the lighthouse and sailboats were the perfect backdrop for their official family portrait! Grandma has a hard time getting around, but she was amazing and always had a big smile on her face. She was completely adorable and I loved how she made sure to co-ordinate with everyone as well. I think she really enjoyed being out on the beach. We had stunning weather that evening, and an incredibly beautiful sunset. All in all, a perfect night!

Baby Porter | Fresh Life {Port Dalhousie Newborn Photography}

I absolutely loved this session with newborn baby Porter and his awesome Mom and Dad! They live in a beautiful home in Port Dalhousie- full of wonderful light everywhere! A dream to shoot in! Of course, a huge raincloud followed me (I’m not kidding- it followed me down the highway!), but we dealt with it and we got some beautiful newborn portraits to capture this oh-so-short time in Porter’s life. I love when I connect so well with a client that I’m sad when the prints have been delivered and there’s no reason to chat anymore. Thankfully there’s always Facebook!

So… on to the images-

I adore this image- Grandma ordered this as a 10×20 wall portrait- it was so stunning that I am going to be ordering this as a studio sample!

And this family- are they not STUNNING?!

Nancy & Ethan {Port Dalhousie Child and Family Photographer}

“There has never been, nor will there ever be, anything quite so special as the love between a mother and son”

Nancy contacted me for a session for herself and her 4 year old son, Ethan. We shot at Port Dalhousie on Mother’s Day weekend. It was a sentimental session for them- a new beginning, at one of their favorite places to be together.

I encouraged them to bring along some of their favorite activities to personalize the session, as well as a change of clothing to add variety to their images. I think the results speak for their self. Their session was full of love, laughter and fun. We played football, Boggle, tickled in the grass, skipped rocks, found sea shells and just had a blast!
